Product details:
The Epiphone De Luxe was introduced as a top-of-the line model in the early 1930s, and upsized to 17" late in 1935. It was a direct competitor with Gibson's L-5, the De Luxe sold for the same price, though more lavish and typically louder and somewhat brighter in tone. With its tremendous cutting power and presence, the De Luxe was a favorite of big band guitarists who had to compete with an entire horn section without an amp.
