About the designer: As a pioneer in women's footwear, for over 20 years London-based designer Jimmy Choo has been a frontrunner in fashion. Born into a family of shoemakers, Choo created his first heel at age 11. In 1986, a few years after graduating from Cordwainers Technical College, Choo opened his first workshop in North London, soon after receiving international recognition after his shoes appeared on the pages of Vogue. Choo founded his eponymous label in 1996 with British Vogue editor Tamara Melton. Over the course of his career he has won several awards an received various recognitions for is work and achievements.
